Tillandsia juncifolia is differentiated from Tillandsia juncea by the texture of its leaves. Both varieties of Tillandsias have long and thin leaves.
T. juncifolias blades are smooth and shine with vibrant tones of green and red, while T. junceas leaves are covered with trichomes that give them a grayish color. The flower of T. juncifolia has an intense and shiny green color.
Etymology
Junceus is a Latin adjective that means “rushy” or “reeded” and also designates that what is “pleasant” and “delightful”.
