Description

Comercial Name:  Brachycaulos Multiflora

Multiflora

As its name indicates, Multiflora means “with many flowers”. It distinguishes itself from T. brachycaulos v. abdita because of the darker color scale of its leaves. When blooming, the leaves around the flower turn carmine-red with tones of gold. When not blooming, the leaves are velvety grayish because of the trichomes that cover them. T. brachycaulos v. multiflora is native from Guatemala. T. brachycaulos v. multiflora tolerates less sunlight than T. brachycaulos v. abdita.

Etymology

Brachycaulos: combination of Greek adjective brachys, “short”, and the noun caulos, “stem”. Multiflora: Latin epithet that means “with many flowers”
